Mexico: More to it than you think

by Juan Jose Silva

Mexico1When most people in the US and West think of Mexico they automatically think of it as a nation plagued by drug cartels, crime, and immigration problems along with corruption but Mexico is far more than these negative things.  Mexico has produced several famous leaders, scientists, scholars, poets, and writers who have gained international renown and respect.  One that immediately comes to mind is the late Carlos Fuentes who was a Mexican author and novelist.  If you haven’t read his books I suggest you do as they are nothing short of fantastic!

There was a time when Mexico was keeping up pace with the United States in terms of innovation and technology believe it or not.  For instance, Mexico produced the world’s first automatic rifle which no other gun company could rival until the US produced the Browning automatic rifle.  Mexico produces many household appliances and automotive parts which are then shipped into the US and marketed under US company names.  Most people in America have no idea how much they buy is actually made in Mexico.

Mexico has some beautiful sights to see such as the Azteca ruins are Tenochtitlan and the Mayan pyramids in the Yucatan.  Mexico has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and some of the best food anywhere.  The Mexican people are a proud and generous people and are some of the kindest and most giving people on the planet today which is rare in this globalist greedy era we are living in.  To paint Mexico as a dangerous land filled with banditos at every turn does Mexico a great injustice and robs the world of a nation that is NOT like the false image that has been painted by the international media.

There’s a great article appearing on MEXICO NEWS.NET that goes into more detail about Mexico both past and present that is well worth the read. Plato once said that “Ignorance is the root and stem of evil.”  So educate yourself!  Mexico can stand proud as a nation and as a people.  Many of my own relatives came from Mexico around Monterrey as well as from Spain and I am proud of the Mexican/Spanish blood that flows through my veins.  Mexico has been handed a bad rap by the international media and it’s time that false image change with TRUTH and FACTS!  You’ll find the article at the below link.
