The US Government has now admitted that it (the Pentagon) studies UFOs! This little revelation came to light a couple of days ago this past Sunday in an investigative article by the New York Times. For decades now Americans have been told that UFOs just aren’t real by government investigators. Ball lighting, mass hallucination, car lights, swamp gas (even though the nearest swamp was 500 miles away), and many more “explanations” have been given by the government to people reporting UFOs. Now it appears following the governments admission that none of these “explanations” are true at all. Why am I NOT surprised?
A massive decades long campaign has been waged against people reporting UFOs in an effort to discredit and marginalize them in the USA to the point that people reporting UFOs are simply dismissed as “tin foil hat wearing crackpots.” Apparently, that is not true either! The Pentagon has now OFFICIALY confirmed that there “was” a $22 million government program to collect and analyze “anomalous aerospace threats” which is gov-speak for UFOs (ASV is another gov-speak term for UFOs also. It means “alternative space vehicle.”).
The story has been picked up by the Washington Post an virtually all other major media since the NYT ran their article on Sunday. The NYT got a HUGE response after running its initial article Sunday and a follow up article was ran Monday. And, btw, Sundays NYT report was FRONT PAGE! This past October a NYT contributor and author Leslie Kean met a man named Luis Elizondo, director of a Pentagon program known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. This program was “secret” and it was funded by taxpayer dollars at the urging of former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid R-NV. It was one of his “pet programs” apparently. It started in 2007 with the goal being to investigate “aerial threats” including those termed by the US military as “unidentified aerial phenomena” or, simply, “objects.” Ironic since the US government ended Project Blue Book (the US Air Force UFO investigative program in the 1960s) in 1969 claiming that UFOs were not worth studying because they didn’t exist. Well now apparently THEY DO EXIST! And all those people who have seen them are apparently RIGHT!!
Program Director Luis Elizondo apparently resigned in protest of what he claimed was “excessive secrecy” and “internal opposition.” The program budget was hidden under the huge US defense budget with only parts of the program classified. Other officials joined Elizondo in speaking about the program including Christopher K. Mellon who is a former deputy assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. What has now happened is the “mythical” existence of UFOs has now been confirmed as not mythical at all but as very real!
The Pentagon then admitted that the program had existed but ended in 2012 after five years which may or may NOT be true. Seems these guys like changing the names of programs so most likely they call the program something else now. Not exactly a lie but just not telling the whole truth I suppose. As far as the NYT can tell now the program continues but is largely unfunded which, again, may or may not be true.
So all of those people who have seen and reported UFOs and who have been labelled “crackpots” they have been vindicated. They’re not crackpots at all. If the US government doesn’t think UFOs are real then why are they investigating them? Former UK defense official Nick Pope has said we know something is up there, we just don’t know what it is and this is about as close as government comes to admitting UFOs are real…..until now. The Pentagon also released video from a FA 18 Hornet jet fighter showing a UFO.
